Such imaginations involve imaging what God is like. Therefore in this story, in the dialogue between Pete Kane and the One, I speculate about what God is like. I believe firmly and confess gladly that in this conversation I have underestimated the mercy and love of God -- and also his wit. There is no way that one can comprehend the ineffable, as much as humans try. Along with St. Therese, however, I believe that God is nothing but mercy and love and the more we reflect on that, the better off we will be."

I can not believe my husband.
We're sitting in the living room watching TV. Well, he's watching, I'm looking at this stuff. Anyway, he turns to me and says,
"Would you like a hotdog?"
Huh? Would I like a what?
"A hotdog."
A hotdog?
"Yeah."
Do I want a hotdog?
"Do you?"
A hot dog?
"Yeah. Do. You. Want. A. Hotdog?"
Well, yes, but they're frozen.
"That's okay I can cook them in no time."
A couple of minutes later:
"Yellow or brown?"
Brown
And that, my children, is how I came to be sitting here eating a Nathan's Famous and watching "Night at the Museum" at 8:52 p.m. EST. Life is never, um, ordinary?
